Monsoon trough 12S142E 12S145E to Tropical Low (12U) 994hPa near 14.3S148.2E to

15S148E 17S150E 16S154E. Forecast 13S142E 14S144E to Tropical Low (12U) 989hPa

near 18.2S147.3E to 21S153E at 101200UTC.



Trough [2] 05S162E 08S166E 16S168E. Forecast near 10S161E to developing low [2]

1002hPa near 14S163E to 17S160E at 101200UTC.

West of line 01S142E 02S149E 20S157E 23S151E, outside warning areas:

Northwesterly quarter winds, shifting southeasterly quarter south of monsoon

trough, turning clockwise within 180nm of Tropical Low (12U). Wind speed 15/25

knots increasing to 25/33 knots west of line 20S148E 13S150E 09S148E 10S142E.

Moderate to rough seas, rising to rough to very rough west of line 20S148E

13S150E 09S148E 10S142E. Low to moderate swell.



South of line 22S150E 20S157E 12S164E 05S166E 05S170E:

Easterly quarter winds shifting northerly quarter east of trough [2], and

turning clockwise within 60nm of low [2]. Wind speeds 15/25 knots, increasing

to 20/30 knots south of line 21S160E 20S165E 21S170E. Moderate to rough seas.

Low to moderate swell.



Remainder:

Winds not exceeding 20 knots. Slight to moderate seas. Low to moderate swell.



Rain areas, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms throughout most of the

area. Heavy at times within 240nm of Tropical Low (12U), in monsoonal flow

south of Papua New Guinea, and within 120nm east of trough [2]. Squalls

possible with monsoonal flow west of line 09S144E 11S144E. Visibility reducing

below 2nm in precipitation.
