Tropical Cyclone "Maila" 978hPa near 9.1S154.3E. Forecast Tropical Cyclone

"Maila" 950hPa near 9.9S155.5E at 060000UTC.



Tropical Low (31P) 992hPa east of area near 15S171E. Forecast 985hPa east of

area near 16S172E at 061200UTC.

Whole area, outside warning area:

Southeasterly quarter winds, shifting northwesterly quarter north of 10S,

turning clockwise within 400nm of Tropical Cyclone "Maila", and turning

clockwise within 300nm of Tropical Low (31P). Wind speeds 15/25 knots,

increasing to 20/33 knots within 400nm of Tropical Cyclone "Maila", within

240nm of Tropical Low (31P), and west of line 17S157E 25S157E. Moderate to

rough seas. Low to moderate swell.



Rain areas, scattered showers, and isolated thunderstorms throughout area.

Heavy at times within 180nm of Tropical Cyclone "Maila". Visibility reducing

below 2nm in precipitation.

waves can be twice the forecast height.
