Part 3 Forecast

West of line 19S154E 03S154E:

Southeasterly quarter winds shifting southerly quarter north of 9S. Wind speeds

15/25 knots, reaching up to 30 knots at times within the Vitiaz Strait.

Moderate to rough seas, very rough at times within the Vitiaz Strait. Low to

moderate swell.



East of line 05S160E 20S155E 25S165E:

Southeasterly quarter winds 15/25 knots. Moderate to rough seas. Low to

moderate swell.



Remainder:

Winds not exceeding 20 knots. Slight to moderate seas. Low to moderate swell,

decreasing to low swell north of Papua New Guinea.



Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms throughout area. Widespread

showers within 300nm west of trough. Visibility reducing below 2nm in

precipitation.
