1. Poor visibility in mist is expected between Cunene River and Luderitz

   but very poor visibility in fog patches can be expected between

   Luderitz and Table Bay for the first half of the period.



2. Moderate visibility in showers and rain is expected between

   Plettenberg Bay and East London at first.



3. Moderate visibility in showers and thundershowers is expected in the

   northern parts of the Mozambique Channel and between East London and

   Margate towards the end of the period.

SEVERE WEATHER ADVISORIES:

1. Heavy swell in excess of 4.0m is expected between Cape Columbine and

   Still Bay from Sunday (05 April 2026) morning, spreading to Alexander

   Bay and Port Alfred by Sunday evening and to Margate on Monday morning

   (06 April 2026).



ABNORMAL WAVE CONDITIONS:

Abnormal waves are possible in the Agulhas Current between Port Alfred and Margate on Monday (06 April 2026).

CUNENE RIVER TO WALVIS BAY:

WIND     : S to SE 15 to 25.

VIS      : Poor in mist for the first half of the period, otherwise good.

SEA STATE: 2.0 to 2.5m, with SW to S swell.





WALVIS BAY TO ORANGE RIVER:

WIND     : S to SE 15 to 25.

VIS      : Poor in mist for the first half of the period but very poor in

           fog south of Luderitz for the first half of the period,

           otherwise good.

SEA STATE: 2.0 to 2.5m, with SW to S swell.



ORANGE RIVER TO CAPE AGULHAS:

WIND     : S to SW 05 to 10, but W to NW 10 to 20 south of Table Bay. It

           will become SE 15 to 20 north of Hondeklip Bay from mid-

           period.

VIS      : Poor in fog patches north of Table Bay for the first half of

           the period, otherwise good.

SEA STATE: 2.0 to 2.5m, with SW to S swell.



CAPE AGULHAS TO EAST LONDON:

WIND     : W to NW 05 to 10 across the coast, becoming W to SW 10 to 20

           from mid-period reaching 25 west of Still Bay.

VIS      : Moderate in showers and rain east of Plettenberg Bay at first,

           otherwise good.

SEA STATE: 2.0 to 3.0m, with SW swell.



EAST LONDON TO MAPUTO:

WIND     : NE 15 to 25 north of Durban, otherwise SW 10 to 20.

VIS      : Good, becoming moderate in showers and thundershowers south of

           Margate towards the end of the period.

SEA STATE: 2.0 to 3.0m, with SE to E swell.



MOZAMBIQUE CHANNEL:

WIND     : Variable 05 to 10 in the north-east, otherwise S to SE 10 to

           20 reaching 25 in the south-east.

VIS      : Moderate in showers and thundershowers in the north, otherwise

           good.

SEA STATE: 3.0 to 3.5m over the central and southern parts, with S to SE

           swell.
