1. A gale force W to SW wind of 35 knots is expected between Plettenberg Bay

   and Algoa Bay, as well as between , reaching strong gale of 40 to 45

   knots between Algoa Bay and Port Edward.



2. Very rough seas with wave height of 4.0 to 6.0m is expected between Cape

   Agulhas and Richards Bay, reaching high seas of 6.5 to 7.5m between

   Knysna and East London.



3. Moderate to poor visibility in showers and thundershowers is expected

   between Cape Agulhas and Port St Johns.



4. Heavy south-westerly swell greater than 4.0m is expected between Cape

   Point and Cape Agulhas.



5. Very poor visibility in fog is expected between Alexander Bay and Cape

   Columbine until mid-morning.

CUNENE RIVER TO WALVIS BAY:

WIND     : SE 15 to 25 reaching north of Mowe Bay but S to SW 10 to 20 south

           until evening.

VIS      : Good.

SEA STATE: 2.0 to 3.5m, with S to SW swell.



WALVIS BAY TO ORANGE RIVER:

WIND     : S to SE 10 to 20, reaching 25 to 30 between Walvis Bay and

           Fischersbrunn and Luderitz from the afternoon.

VIS      : Good.

SEA STATE: 2.0 to 3.0m, with S to SW swell.



ORANGE RIVER TO CAPE AGULHAS:

WIND     : NW 05 to 10 north of Cape Columbine at first, otherwise S to SE

           10 to 20.

VIS      : Good, but very poor in fog north of Cape Columbine until mid-

           morning.

SEA STATE: 2.5 to 3.5m, reaching 4.0 to 4.5m south of Cape Point, with S to

           SW swell, but SE swell south of Cape Point.



CAPE AGULHAS TO EAST LONDON:

WIND     : S to SW 25 to 30, reaching 35 to 40 between Plettenberg Bay and

           Algoa Bay, spreading to East London from early morning while

           reaching 40 to 45 until the early morning. It will become SE 10

           to 15 west of Plettenberg Bay from mid-period.

VIS      : Moderate in showers and thundershowers.

SEA STATE: 5.0 to 6.0m, reaching 6.0 to 7.0m between Mossel Bay and

           Gqeberha, but 7.0 to 7.5m in places between Cape St Francis and

           East London until mid-period, subsiding to 4.0 to 5.0m west of

           George by the end of the period, with S to SE swell.



EAST LONDON TO MAPUTO:

WIND     : N to NW 20 to 30, becoming SW 35 to 45 between East London

           and Port Shepstone from the morning, but 20 to 30 north of Port

           Shepstone.

VIS      : Good, but moderate to poor in showers and thundershowers between

           East London and Port St Johns.

SEA STATE: 2.5 to 3.5m, reaching 4.0 to 5.0m between East London and Durban,

           spreading to Richards Bay towards the end of period, with S to SE

           swell.



MOZAMBIQUE CHANNEL:

WIND     : Variable 05 to 10 in the east becoming E to SE 05 to

           10, but N to NE 10 to 20 in the west reaching 25 in the south-

           west until mid-period becoming NW 10 to 15 in the extreme south-

           west towards mid-period.

VIS      : Good.
