TRADES (15S/30S, 00E/WEST COAST):

WIND     : S to SE 10 to 20 but variable 05 to 10 in the south-west.

VIS      : Good.







TRISTAN (30S/40S, 00E/20W):

WIND     : Cyclonic 15 to 25 in the extreme north-west spreading the west

           by the end of the period, otherwise anticyclonic 05 to 15.

VIS      : Good, becoming moderate to poor in showers and thundershowers in

           the extreme north-west spreading to the western parts towards

           mid-period.

SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m in the south-east, with SW swell.



CAPE WEST (30S/40S, 00E/20E):

WIND     : SW to W 10 to 20 reaching 25 to 30 in the south-east at first,

           becoming anticyclonic 05 to 10 in the north-west towards the end

           of the period.

VIS      : Good, but moderate in showers and rain in the south-east in the

           first half of the period.

SEA STATE: 3.0m but 4.0 to 4.5m in the southern parts, with SW swell.



CAPE EAST (32.5S/40S, 20E/50E):

WIND     : Anticyclonic 05 to 15 in the east, otherwise W to NW 10 to 20

           reaching 25 to 30 in the south-west but NE 25 to 30 in the north-

           west at first drifting to the central parts from mid-period.

VIS      : Good, becoming moderate in showers and rain in places over the

           western parts, but poor in showers and thundershowers in the

           southern parts.

SEA STATE: 3.0 to 3.5m in the western parts with S to SW swell, but with E

           to NE swell in the north-west.



DURBAN EAST (32.5S/25S, EAST COAST/55E):

WIND     : S to SE 10 to 20 reaching 25 in the north, but NE to E 20 to 30

           in the west.

VIS      : Good, but moderate to poor in showers and thundershowers in the

           east and north-east.

SEA STATE: 3.0 to 3.5m in the west with S to SW swell, but with E to NE

           swell in the south-west.



MOZAMBIQUE CHANNEL:

WIND     : NW 10 to 20 in the north, otherwise S to SE 10 to 20

           reaching 25 to 30 in the south-east at first.

VIS      : Good, but moderate to poor in showers and thundershowers in

           the northern and central parts.

SEA STATE: 2.5 to 3.0m in the south subsiding to 2.0 to 2.5 toward end of

           the period, with S to SE swell.



MADAGASCAR EAST (10S/25S, EAST COAST/55E):

WIND     : N to NE 05 to 15, but W to NW 10 to 15 in the extreme north.

VIS      : Moderate to poor in showers and thundershowers.



MARION FORTIES EAST (40S/50S, 35E/50E):

WIND     : NW 15 to 25 reaching 30 to 35 in the extreme west drifting to the

           east from second half of the period.

VIS      : Good, becoming moderate in showers and rain in the west and

           south-west towards mid-period drifting to the central and

           southern parts by the end of the period.

SEA STATE: 3.5m to 4.0m in the south-west spreading to the central and south

           from second half of the period, with W to

           SW swell.
