A storm force low off the northeast gulf coast has sent a strong cold front into the outer coast of the panhandle Saturday afternoon, bringing widespread gale force conditions through the coastal waters and into the inner channels. A narrow band of storm force conditions along the southern edge of the low center will likely make landfall along the Chichagof coast, with strongest winds funneling into Cross Sound.
