At 225 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located over the coastal waters of St. John and across the Caribbean offshore waters. These thunderstorms were moving westward around 10 knots. Additional thunderstorms are expected to develop across the rest of the Caribbean waters and the Anegada Passage through the afternoon hours as a tropical wave moves across the region. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass. $$
