.SYNOPSIS...A stationary front over the central portions lifts N

as a warm front this evening. Low pressure along the front just

off the New Jersey coast rapidly intensifies NE across the N

portions tonight into Sat. A cold front associated with the low

moves S into the S waters tonight, and the front becomes nearly

stationary there through Sat night as high pressure briefly

builds over the N waters. Low pressure moves off of the Carolina

coast Sat night, with the low broadening and strengthening as it

moves slowly NE off of the East Coast Sun through Mon night.

Mariners should monitor later forecasts for possible avoidance

needs. A series of surface troughs move across the waters Mon

night into Tue. High pressure builds E into the area later Tue

into Tue night, then shifts E Wed and Wed night ahead of the next

approaching cold front.
