Southeast Gulf of America



.SYNOPSIS...A surface ridge extending westward from a 1019 mb

high pressure southeast of Bermuda will maintain gentle to

moderate southerly winds and moderate seas at the eastern Gulf

through Sat evening. A strong cold front will move into the

northern Gulf Sat night and shift quickly across the basin

through early Mon, bringing fresh to strong northerly winds and

rough seas. Both winds and seas should gradually subside early

next week in the wake of the front.



.TONIGHT...SE to S winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft.

.SAT...SE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 ft.

.SAT NIGHT...S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 ft in the evening,

subsiding to 2 ft or less.

.SUN...W to NW winds 10 to 15 kt, becoming NW 20 to 25 kt in the

afternoon. Seas 3 ft, building to 4 to 6 ft in the afternoon.

.SUN NIGHT...N winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 7 to 10 ft in NW swell.

.MON...N winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 8 to 11 ft in NW swell.

.SYNOPSIS...A 1019 mb high pressure located southeast of Bermuda

will shift slowly eastward through the weekend, producing moderate

to locally fresh S to SW winds offshore of northern Florida

through Sat evening. Moderate or weaker winds are expected

in the Bahamas through Sat. A strong cold front will push

offshore of the southeastern U.S. on Sun, with strong to near-gale

NW winds and rapidly rising seas behind the front through early

next week. The front is expected to reach from near Bermuda to

central Cuba Mon morning, and from 31N60W to near the Dominican

Republic Tue morning while weakening. This will allow winds and

seas off northeast Florida and near the Bahamas to decrease.



.TONIGHT...E to SE winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and S 10 to 15 kt N

of 27N. Seas 3 ft.

.SAT...S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 ft in the morning, subsiding to

2 ft or less.

.SAT NIGHT...SE winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and S to SW 10 to

15 kt N of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less, building to 3 ft after

midnight.

.SUN...SW to W winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and SW to W 20 to

25 kt N of 27N. Seas 3 ft, building to 4 to 6 ft in E to SE swell

in the afternoon.
