Southeast Gulf of America



.SYNOPSIS...The Atlantic ridge extends westward across Florida

and into the Gulf region, and will change little through Sat

before weakening Sun and Mon. This pattern will produce mostly

gentle to moderate E to SE winds across the basin, with pulses

of fresh winds occurring north and west of the Yucatan Peninsula

and into the Bay of Campeche each evening and night, as a diurnal

surface trough migrates from the Yucatan Peninsula westward across

the SW Gulf. Slight to moderate seas are expected through the

forecast period.



.TONIGHT...NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.

.FRI...NE to E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.

.FRI NIGHT...NE to E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.

.SYNOPSIS...The Atlantic ridge combined with two tropical waves

passing through the Caribbean Sea will cause fresh to strong NE

to E winds south of 22N from tonight through Sun night. Elsewhere

winds are expected to remain light to moderate for the next few

days. Looking ahead, a weak cold front will slowly push across our

northern border east of 70W Sun, causing a wind shift to northeast

but with little change in wind speeds on Sun and Mon north of 28N.



.TONIGHT...E winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and SE to S 10 to 15 kt

N of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less.

.FRI...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S 5 to 10 kt N of

27N. Seas 2 ft or less.

.FRI NIGHT...E to SE winds 15 to 20 kt S of 27N, and SE to S

10 to 15 kt N of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less, building to 3 ft after

midnight.

.SAT...SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S 10 to 15 kt N of 27N.
