Recent northwesterly gusts across the upper tidal Potomac have

neared 20 knots during the past hour. This should remain somewhat

sporadic and eventually subside within the next couple of hours.



Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller

vessels, should exercise extra caution if navigating the waters

during this time.
