...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WATERS...



The areas affected include...

  Tidal Potomac from Indian Head to Cobb Island MD...



At 1059 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a line of strong

thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These

thunderstorm were located over the Potomac River from near Quantico

to near Cobb Island, moving northeast at 25 knots.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher

waves, lightning strikes, and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek

safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.
