...SEA FOG DEVELOPING OFF THE CHARLESTON COUNTY COAST...



Satellite and webcam observations show patches of dense sea fog

are developing off the Charleston County coast early this morning.

The fog is expected to slowly expand with visibilities dropping

below 1 NM at times. The worst conditions are expected to occur

within 10 NM of the coast. If the dense fog becomes more

widespread, a Marine Dense Fog Advisory may be needed.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners are urged to navigate with extreme care. If you must

navigate in these conditions, proceed with caution. Use proper

fog signals, including fog horns. Make sure all navigational

running lights are on.



Please relay any reports of sea fog to the Charleston Coast Guard

station and ask them to immediately forward your report to the

National Weather Service in Charleston.
