The areas affected include...

  Coastal waters from Altamaha Sound to Fernandina Beach FL out 20

  NM...



At 1019 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms, capable of

producing winds to around 30 knots and waterspouts. These

thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Altamaha

Sound to 11 nm southeast of Jekyll Island. The thunderstorms were

nearly stationary.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher

waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor

immediately until these storms pass.



Waterspouts are possible with this activity. If a waterspout occurs,

move your boat away from it. Waterspouts can develop rapidly and

produce winds and seas that are dangerous for vessels and everyone

onboard.
