Hawk Channel and Straits of Florida from Ocean Reef to Craig Key out

20 nm...

Florida Bay including Barnes Sound, Blackwater Sound, and Buttonwood

Sound...

Straits of Florida from Craig Key to west end of Seven Mile Bridge

out 20 nm...



At 1029 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists detected a a

strong thunderstorm, capable of producing wind gusts near 30 knots.

This thunderstorm was located over Hens & Chickens Light, moving

south at 10 knots.



Locations that will be affected include...

Hens & Chickens Light, Whale Harbor, Cowpens Cut, Plantation Key,

Islamorada Hump, Davis Reef Light, and Eagle Wreck.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Prepare for thunderstorms with wind gusts near 30 knots, locally

rough and confused seas, occasional lightning strikes, and

potentially blinding downpours. Get to a safe port as quickly, and as

safely as possible. When downpours reduce visibility, slow down.



Prepare for rainfall rates up to INSERT RAINFALL RATE inches per

hour. Make sure bilge passages and scuppers are clean of any debris

or obstruction.
