TO NEAR P TOWER...



The areas affected include...

Gulf Waters from East Cape Sable to Chokoloskee 20 to 60 nm out and

beyond 5 fathoms...

Gulf of America including Dry Tortugas and Rebecca Shoal Channel...



At 231 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists detected a

line of strong thunderstorms, capable of producing wind gusts near

30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending

from 11 nm northwest of P Tower to near W Tower, moving northwest at

5 knots.



Strong thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Prepare for thunderstorms with wind gusts near 30 knots, locally

rough and confused seas, occasional lightning strikes, and

potentially blinding downpours. Get to a safe port as quickly, and as

safely as possible. When downpours reduce visibility, slow down.
