Hawk Channel and Straits of Florida from Ocean Reef to Craig Key out

20 nm...

Florida Bay including Barnes Sound, Blackwater Sound, and Buttonwood

Sound...



At 325 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists detected a

strong thunderstorms, preceded by northerly wind gusts near 30 knots.

These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 5 nm

north of Crocodile Dragover to near Barnes Sound, moving south at 10

knots.



Locations that will be affected include...

Buttonwood Sound, Coon Key, Mosquito Bank Light, Dump Keys, French

Ref, End Key, and Grecian Rocks.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Prepare for thunderstorms with wind gusts near 30 knots, locally

rough and confused seas, occasional lightning strikes, and

potentially blinding downpours. Get to a safe port as quickly, and as

safely as possible. When downpours reduce visibility, slow down.
