A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas...

  Lake Borgne...

  Lake Pontchartrain...



At 1101 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated an outflow boundary, capable

of producing winds to around 30 knots. This boundary of gusty winds

was located along a line extending from near Eden Isle to near

Rigolets to 13 nm east of Lake Borgne, moving west at 25 knots.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect widespread gusty winds to around 30 knots and

higher waves. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this

activity passes.



This outflow boundary will likely produce winds to around 30 knots,

and could pose a serious hazard for boaters. A special marine

warning may eventually be required. Boaters should consider heading

for shore before these storms arrive.
