The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Alenuihaha Channel...

  Maalaea Bay...

  Maui County Leeward Waters...



* Until 1215 AM HST.



* At 1021 PM HST, a shower capable of producing waterspouts was

  located near FAD Buoy JJ, or 13 nm southeast of Honokanaia, moving

  northeast at 30 knots.



  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to nearly 50 knots.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Waterspouts can create locally hazardous seas. Small

           craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and

           suddenly higher waves.



* Locations impacted include...

  FAD Buoy HS, Molokini, and FAD Buoy JJ.
