The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Tidal Potomac from Cobb Island MD to Smith Point VA...

  Tidal Potomac from Indian Head to Cobb Island MD...



* Until 1100 PM EDT.



* At 934 PM EDT, a gust front associated with a line of severe

  thunderstorms was located along a line extending from 11 nm

  northwest of Broomes Island to 9 nm northeast of U.S. 301 Nice

  Memorial Bridge to near Popes Creek to near Maryland Point, moving

  southeast at 25 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated.



  IMPACT...Boaters in small craft could be thrown overboard by

           suddenly higher winds and waves capsizing their vessel.

  Yeocomico River, Breton Bay, Saint Clements Bay, Piney Point, Mouth

  Of The Potomac River, Point Lookout, Tall Timbers, Cobb Island,

  Swan Point, Coltons Point, Nomini Bay, Coles Point, Saint George

  Island, Wicomico River, White Point Beach, Westmoreland State Park,

  and Colonial Beach.
