  Coastal waters from Lower Atchafalaya River to Intracoastal City LA

  out 20 NM...

  Vermilion and West Cote Blanche Bays...



* Until 500 AM CDT.



* At 401 AM CDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near South Marsh

  Island 217, or near Marsh Island, moving northeast at 15 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and

           suddenly higher waves.



* Locations impacted include...

  South Marsh Island 217, Marsh Island, and West Cote Blanche Bay.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are

expected.



Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
