* At 605 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 nm south of

  Southwest Pass Of the Mississippi River, moving south at 15 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and

           suddenly higher waves.
