The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Coastal waters from Pensacola FL to Pascagoula MS out 20 NM...

  Waters from Pensacola FL to Pascagoula MS from 20 to 60 NM...



* Until 630 AM CDT.



* At 501 AM CDT, strong thunderstorms capable of producing

  waterspouts were located along a line extending from near Fort

  Morgan to 13 nm southwest of Farewell Buoy. The strong

  thunderstorms were nearly stationary.



  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally

           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly

           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.



* Locations impacted include...

  Fort Gaines, Farewell Buoy, and Sand Island Lighthouse.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are

expected.
