The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Pensacola Bay Area including Santa Rosa Sound...



* Until 400 PM CDT.



* At 253 PM CDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 7 nm northwest of

  Escambia Bay Bridge, or 17 nm north of Pensacola Pass, moving

  southeast at 10 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and

           suddenly higher waves.



* Locations impacted include...

  Escambia Bay Bridge, East Bay, and Escambia Bay.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.



Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the

open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded

metal objects.
