The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Mississippi Sound...

  South Mobile Bay...



* Until 945 AM CDT.



* At 810 AM CDT, a strong thunderstorm capable of producing

  waterspouts was located over Heron Bay, or near Central Dauphin

  Island, moving east at 10 knots.



  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally

           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly

           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.



* Locations impacted include...

  Dauphin Island Bridge, Fort Gaines, Fort Morgan, Western Dauphin

  Island, Middle Bay Light, Mississippi Sound East Of Pascagoula,

  Alabama Port, Heron Bay, Portersville Bay, and Central Dauphin

  Island.

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.



Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
