STORM FORCE WIND WARNING 3 FOR SOUTHEASTERN AND SOUTHERN AREAS



SITUATION AT 281800UTC

Vigorous flow associated with cold front 53S151E to low 957hPa near 58S154E to

warm front 55S160E 49S160E 43S150E. Forecast cold front 54S160E to low 956hPa

near 58S161E to warm front east of area 58S161E 56S167E 50S167E at 290000UTC,

then cold front east of area 55S169E to low 952hPa near 58S167E at 290600UTC,

and then just low 948hPa east of area near 59S171E at 291200UTC.



AREA AFFECTED

Bounded by 57S136E 58S160E 49S160E 43S149E 45S139E 57S136E.



FORECAST

Clockwise winds within 420nm around low, shifting westerly quarter within 540nm

west of warm front. Wind speeds 34/47 knots, increasing to 48/60 knots within

120nm of cold front. Storm force winds easing below 48 knots throughout area by

290300UTC. Very rough to high seas, rising to very high in storm force winds.

Moderate to heavy swell.
